Wonderfully close to Southwest Florida’s wonders

You certainly won’t find a newer or nicer motorcoach resort than Olde Florida, but you’re still going to want to do a little exploring. Southwest Florida is a haven of natural treasures, shopping meccas, championship golf courses, and beautiful beaches. Best of all, they’re well within reach with access to Naples, Fort Myers, and Sanibel. Scroll over the photos below for a little taste of what’s waiting for you.

  • Naples Beach offers up miles of white sand for those romantic strolls.
  • Wine bars and eclectic eats abound in The Fort Myers River District and along 5th Avenue in Naples.
  • Lover’s Key State Park is a biking, hiking, kayaking and picnicking paradise. Plus, explore the hiking and biking trails of the Caloosahatchee River Reservoir right next door to Olde Florida.
  • Tee it up at Majestic, Glades Resort, or Copperhead. Visit Fort Myers for more great choices.
  • Some of Florida’s most legendary backwater angling is found from the Caloosahatchee River to Naples. Fly or light tackle, cast for snook, tarpon, redfish, and more.
  • Paddleboarding is ideal on Tarpon Bay in Sanibel. Watch for dolphins, rays, manatees and more.
  • A quick cappuccino or al fresco lunch, you’ll find cozy cafes throughout Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva and Naples.
  • Relax on a peaceful stretch of Tigertail Beach, a nature lover’s paradise on Marco Island.
  • Join the locals for “magic hour” on Naples Pier, where the fiery sunsets never disappoint.
  • If you love to shop, you’ll love 5th Avenue South. Manhattan has nothing on this Naples hotspot.
  • Plans for the Caloosahatchee River Reservoir being developed next to Olde Florida include an equestrian center and riding trails. Giddy-up!
  • This rustic collection of waterfront shops in Naples offers everything from rare antiques to kitschy novelties. It also happens to be the launching point for some of the area’s best “sunset and cocktail” cruises.
  • Take in a great performance at The Naples Players at Sugden Community Theatre or the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers.
  • With endless waterways and the wide-open Gulf of Mexico, Southwest Florida is a boater’s paradise.
  • The Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail is a kayaker’s dream. Explore bays and backwaters as you glide through breathtaking scenery.
  • Set out on a canoeing trip or hike through Big Cypress National Preserve from nearby Everglades City.
  • Offshore angling is awesome! Depending on the season, hook into Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Kingfish, Sailfish, Wahoo and more!
  • Shop Third Street South in Naples for top designers, exotic jewelry, fine art, and couture fashions.
  • Run out to one of the many islets dotting the Naples waterways and tie up for a sun-soaked toast to the good life.
  • Bowman’s Beach on Sanibel Island is a shelling sensation. In minutes, your bucket will runneth over!
  • Snap a few photos of Sanibel’s century-old lighthouse before lounging on the soft sands or fishing the famed pier.
  • A day spent along the streets of Old Fort Myers always offers up plenty of sunshine.
  • Hike the nature trails of Caloosahatchee Regional Park, trek along the boardwalk of Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, or go for a quick hike along the trails of the Caloosahatchee River Reservoir adjacent to Olde Florida.
  • Ten thousand islands national wildlife refuge
Explore part of the largest expanse of mangrove forest in North America. See giant loggerhead turtles come ashore to nest on warm summer nights. Watch wintering bald eagles soar overhead. Wonder at the majesty of lush tropical hardwood hammocks. This is one of Florida’s most spectacular nature preserves and wildlife habitats.
  • Gulfshore Playhouse
Dedicated to bringing the magic of theater to all ages and championing tomorrow’s art enthusiasts, the Gulfshore Playhouse is a Naples’ tradition and the place to see the season’s top performances.
